Meet Safely at the Yakima Convention & Event Center

We are pleased to provide you with the following information to help you understand the health requirements necessary when participating in an event at the Yakima Convention & Event Center. Please note, COVID-19 precautions or mitigation strategies are at the discretion of show management of contracted events.

Masking

Starting March 12, 2022, masks will no longer be required in many indoor public spaces. Please respect the right of others to wear a mask. Yakima Health District Guidelines

Vaccination

Vaccination is not required to enter businesses in Yakima County, including the Yakima Convention & Event Center. Some business and event organizers may have their own vaccination policies for entry, check their websites for up to date information.

Capacity Restrictions

Capacity restrictions are no longer in effect. Yakima Convention & Event Center staff are available via phone and email to discuss your event needs, and what we will do to maximize safety and maintain compliance at our facility. Staff contact information can be found on our Contact Us page.

GBAC STAR? Accreditation

In 2021, the Yakima Convention & Event Center achieved the Global Biorisk Advisory Council? (GBAC) STAR? accreditation on outbreak prevention, response and recovery. Recognized as the gold standard of safe venues, GBAC STAR? provides third-party validation to ensure the implementation of rigorous protocols in response to biorisk situations.
